The Snow Day SMS Service was a project I ran for about a year and a half to provide text-based updates for my Snow Day Predictor. It used Twilio to deliver the SMS messages, DynamoDB to store user information and preferences, and a Python Flask-based API to stick everything together.
The Snow Day Predictor website had a section where users could sign up to the service after entering their number.
